Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is named as the second biggest hit in Telugu cinema after Baahubali franchise. This Allu Arjun starrer directed by Trivikram Srinivas is still raking massive revenues all over. Several Bollywood filmmakers are in the race to acquire the remake rights of the film as the content appeals to all the sections. The Hindi remake rights are now sold for a record price.
Ashwin Varde who co-produced Arjun Reddy remake Kabir Singh is said to have paid Rs 8 crores for the remake rights of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. This is highest for any Telugu film and the deal is closed recently. Ashwin Varde will make an official announcement after the lead actor and director will be finalized. Pooja Hegde is the heroine in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Allu Aravind, S Radha Krishna are the producers.
