The biopic of ace shuttle player and star coach Pullela Gopichand has been in talks from some time. Sudheer Babu is on board to play the lead role and the film needed a massive budget. Sudheer Babu whenever he had time spent busy time getting perfect in the sport. Praveen Sattaru is on board to direct the project and a Bollywood production house came on to the board to bankroll this prestigious project.
There are talks that the film will start in January 2020. But the recent developments say that the film is shelved. Praveen Sattaru moved on to his next film and he would direct Nagarjuna in the remake of Bollywood film Raid. The film will start rolling during the second half of 2020 and will release during the end of the year. It is now clear that Pullela Gopichand biopic is shelved after which Praveen Sattaru moved on to his next film. Sudheer Babu too after completing V will shift his focus on his next film.
