Sensational director Puri Jagannadh is back with a bang and he is all set to direct Vijay Devarakonda in his next film which is tentatively titled Fighter. Touted to be a sports drama laced with action and entertainment, the film will start rolling next month. The film was initially planned on a decent budget and Puri Jagannadh himself is on board to produce the film. Then came Karan Johar and the film now turned into a pan Indian project.
The budget is now doubled and several Hindi star actors are on board for the film. Janhvi Kapoor is the heroine and she is charging Rs 3.5 crores for the film. Karan Johar will not invest a penny and he would manage the film get a wide release in Hindi. He would take the promotional part of Fighter too across Bollywood. With the budget heaping up, Puri Jagannadh will be at huge financial risk if the film doesn’t work out. Fighter is slated for summer 2020 release.
