Natural Star Nani emerged as one of the most bankable actors of Telugu cinema. His consistency and back to back hits made the makers pay hefty paycheque for the actor. Nani played a cricketer in Jersey and the film ended up as a decent hit. He was quite confident about the product and decided to share the profits instead of taking home his paycheque. The actor’s alleged tax evasion over the profits he shared for Jersey was under scanner after which the actor’s premises were raided.
Sithara Entertainments, the production house of Jersey too was raided yesterday. Jersey raked huge money through the digital, satellite and remake rights. The film is now being remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor. It is after Nani pocketed huge money for Jersey, he was under the scanner. The actor is busy with the shoot of ‘V’ in the direction of Mohan Krishna Indraganti which will have an early summer release.
