Superstar Mahesh Babu’s last outing Maharshi had a dream run at the box-office during summer this year. The film raked decent revenues and ended up as a safe project in its final run all over. However, the film which was telecasted on small screen received poor TRPs. This is because of the impact of Amazon Prime. The film was released on the OTT platform long ago and most of the audience who missed the film in theatres watched it.
Hence, Maharshi had to adjust with a TRP of just 9.2. Samantha Akkineni’s Oh Baby being a small film received a TRP of 9. Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F2 stands first in the race with 17.2 TRP this year which is the highest. Amazon and Netflix are having a strong impact on the viewers and in the coming days, small screen audience will be rare to watch a hit film on screen waiting.
