Ilayathalapathy Vijay who is racing ahead with back to back hits in his career is all set to test his luck with Bigil, a sports drama that is directed by Atlee. The theatrical trailer received an exceptional response from the audience. The film is also getting a wide release in Telugu during the Diwali season. Nayanthara is the leading lady and the film is set in the backdrop of football. The film is made on a whopping budget of Rs 150 crores including the remunerations.
Bigil made a business of Rs 222 crores including the theatrical and non-theatrical rights. The theatrical rights are picked up for Rs 140 crores and the non-theatrical rights fetched Rs 82 crores.
