Akhil Akkineni took his time after two back to back disasters. The actor pinned several hopes on his third film titled Mr Majnu which is a romantic entertainer and is directed by Venky Atluri. Nidhhi Agerwal is the heroine and the moviee released across the globe today in record number of screens and carried huge expectations.
Mr Majnu received mixed response from the audience all over though the numbers have been decent across AP and Telangana. Mr Majnu despite of huge promotions, the movie collected 81K USD through the Thursday premieres in USA which quite low. His debut film Akhil collected 90k USD through premieres while Hello raked 214K USD with the premieres. We have to wait to see if Mr Majnu can turn better over the weekend and collect good numbers across USA. BVSN Prasad is the producer.
