Superstar Mahesh Babu’s next big budget film Maharshi is hot in trade and is carrying mighty expectations. Vamshi Paidipally is the director and Pooja Hegde is the female lead. The entire post-production work of Maharshi got completed recently and the film passed the censor scrutiny last night. The film was awarded U/A certificate without a single cut and the runtime of Maharshi is locked to be 178 minutes.
The runtime of Maharshi is sure a threat for the film as the second half is said to be emotional. Films with lengthy runtime is not a trend now except for the films that are carrying exceptional stuff. The makers feel that Maharshi is one such film and the runtime is not a barrier for the film. Hence they decided to go ahead with the runtime. We have to wait to see if Maharshi lives up to the expectations or if the run time turns out to be a threat for the film. Maharshi is releasing on May 9th all over.
