Superstar Rajinikanth and Shankar teamed up for the third time for 2.0 which is a sequel for Robo and is a sci fi thriller. Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist and Amy Jackson is the heroine. The film released across the globe yesterday in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages in 3D. The film’s Telugu theatrical rights have been sold out for Rs 80 crores and the movie raked Rs 12.43 crores on its opening day all over the Telugu states.
2.0 received thumping response all over and the 3D shows have been packed all over. The film is expected to end up collecting decent numbers in its first weekend. AR Rahman is the music composer and Lyca Productions are the producers. The performances of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar have been widely appreciated by the audience. 2.0 is made on a massive budget of Rs 600 crores and the film released in over 6800 screens across India.
