Ram Gopal Varma is struggling hard to get a smooth release for his recent film Lakshmi’s NTR in Andhra Pradesh. The film’s release got stalled by the High Court with the ongoing elections. The polls in AP got completed on April 11th and RGV wanted to release Lakshmi’s NTR in the state before it turns a stale product. Ram Gopal Varma recently announced that Lakshmi’s NTR will release across 80 screens in AP on May 1st.
Here came a shock after the Election Commission asked to put the release of Lakshmi’s NTR on hold. As per the latest update, copies of the notices have been sent to all the district collectors to stop the release with the election code coming into effect. Hence, Lakshmi’s NTR will not release in Andhra Pradesh as planned tomorrow. The makers of Lakshmi’s NTR will have to wait till May 19th till the elections get completed in the country.
