AP CM Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu today inaugurated the diaphragm wall of the polavaram project. Today polavaram project has attained a significient milestone when AP CM inaugurated the diaphragm wall pylon of polavaram in west Godavari district. The construction of diaphragm wall was started on February last year and was completed in 410 working days. The diaphragm wall is laid on a foundation of 150 feet high Earth cum Rock Fill (ECRF) dam, which is expected to store 195 tmcft of water.
Chandra Babu Naidu also enquired about the how the works are going on. He stated that around 55.12% of the project has been completed. Chandra Babu lauded all the workers, planners and engineers involved in the polavaram project and who worked hard with incredible dedication to complete this project.
